A Brooklyn Homecoming

Spread love, it’s the Brooklyn way.

This summer 2023, Food52 officially opened their brand new, beautiful headquarters along the Navy Yard waterfront in Brooklyn. To celebrate, we teamed up with brand partners and friends of Food52 to host an official homecoming party in our sprawling new office space. The event was Presented by Tillamook, with support from other brand partners including Kohler, Bertazzoni, and Sonos.

Guests were directed into our in-office event space, aptly named Town Hall, where they could enjoy a grazing-style set up of bites prepared by our Food52 kitchen staff, grab a signature drink from a cocktail menu developed by Drinks Resident, Harper Fendler, and take in the breathtaking views of the Manhattan skyline from our lounge space and adjoining terrace.

As everyone settled in, Food52 co-founder, Amanda Hesser, addressed the party thanking our sponsors and letting attendees know what to expect over the coming event. Our activations included:

Tillamook Burger Bar: We made cheeseburger sliders and grilled cheeses for a crowd, with Amanda’s tomato jam to top them off—the perfect summer bite!

Mushroom Demo: Bringing our editorial credibility to life, Food Editor Emily Ziemski, showed guests how to use mushrooms in unexpected ways—including candied mushroom “bacon,” a lion’s mane mushroom “steak”, and yuzu-pickled enoki mushrooms—ideal for the perfect dirty martini served at the event!

Summer Product Showcase: Our creative & merchandise teams partnered to set a beautiful, seasonal tablescape featuring our soon-to-be-released products. Guests were invited to view the assortment and links were provided to shop on Food52.com.

DIY Home Spray Station: To support our sister brand, Schoolhouse, on the east coast, a DIY home spray station let guests mix and match their favorite scents to take home with them.

The Spritz Bar: Capitalizing on spritz season, a make your own spritz station allowed guests to design their own libations, with both alcohol and non-alcoholic bitters and homemade shrubs.

By the end of the night, guests were left buzzing and inspired and excited by all the activations that helped emphasize the capabilities of our dynamic new space!
